A 20-store automotive group operating in the Maryland, DC, Virginia, and Delaware communities has seen search visibility soar as high as 566% since starting a content marketing strategy powered by KeyLift.

Dealership Background

As one of the 15 largest automotive retailers in the country, with 15 brands represented across 20 locations, operational efficiencies are mandatory for scalable success. With 7,000+ cars in stock and over 100,000 5-star reviews online, reputation and brand in the DMV market are high, however, lackluster SEO was limiting success for this group prior to partnering with Reunion Marketing.

Dealer Group Challenges

Known as a competitive market, the viability of organic ranking success in the  DC/Virginia/Maryland/Delaware communities were becoming increasingly difficult. The dealership’s marketing department knew their brand was well respected and celebrated by their loyal customers. However, reaching into new markets to drive more sales would mean executing a high-caliber SEO strategy that could produce content at scale, which was not feasible for in-house work.

Group-wide search visibility* was struggling and keyword performance was unknown, meaning more budget was being diverted into Paid Ads via Google Ads to offset traffic. Sales numbers were dwindling or stagnant and budgets were maxing out.

A Toyota dealership within this group is physically located in Westminster, Maryland, but largely sells to residents of Baltimore proper; a highly competitive market that one could easily spend too much budget in to compete.
With Baltimore identified as a priority number one, an immediate pulse check was performed to gauge search visibility. Search visibility and overall organic rankings were struggling due to a lack of content on the website with the intent to rank in the Baltimore area. 

After 250 content pieces were produced for Baltimore shoppers, the following improvements have been achieved.
